A vision of God
During a time of prayer at a Church in Shrewsbury, PA I had a vision of God the father leaning over, with His arms stretched out toward earth. I could tell He was straining to reach further and had a look of intense longing. He was desiring to touch people with His love and power. Obviously, God's arms are not too short (Isa 59:1) and He does touch people with His love and power but His earnest desire is for you and me to extend his reach. He wants our arms to extend His love and power to all we come in contact with.
Jesus said "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." John 14:12 (NIV)
Will you "Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus." (Acts 4:30 (NIV) Take God at His Word and see what He will do through you!
"Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs." Jonah 2:8 (NIV)
What are you clinging to? Or, what is clinging to you that may be hindering your walk with the Lord?
"Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus..." Hebrews 12:1-2 (AMP)
