Incense is not desired for what it looks like or feels like. It is appreciated for only one thing – its fragrance. As incense burns it releases a pleasant aroma. Eventually, the fire will completely consume the incense leaving no trace of its existence except for its beautiful aroma.
As Christ followers we are to be like incense. As we continually draw near to God we will be set on fire with the warmth of His Love. The stench of our fleshly selfishness will be replaced with the aroma of Christ. The more we are consumed, the more He is released. This is what means for us to decrease and for Him to increase.
I have been reading the epistles lately and have discovered (again) they are full of powerful prayers. I took six of these prayers and personalized them so that you and I can pray these prayers for ourselves everyday. There is absolutely nothing more powerful than praying Scripture back to the Father!

Below is a list of activities the Holy Spirit gave me during a time of prayer. I'm sure their will be other things I will add to the list over time but these are things you and I can do every day to be ever filled with the Holy Spirit. They are in no particular order...
Do you want to know what is on your heart at any given moment? Then open your eyes! Whatever you are focusing on at any point in time is what is primarily on your heart. Our eyes and our attention will focus on what is in our heart. If we are hungry, we will focus on (look at, consider, think about, plan to get) food. If we are thirsty for water, the same thing will happen. If we crave approval, love, excitement, money, pleasure, things, etc., these will be what our eyes, mind, will, and emotions (body and soul) will focus on.
I read in Joyce Meyer's book Battlefield of the Mind - Teen Edition that, at one point, she struggled with whether or not her dreams and vision of her ministry were ever real. Her mind was attacked with doubt and unbelief.
It was the last game of the season. My son was very young and just starting to learn how to play soccer. I was excitedly watching and cheering from the sidelines along with my wife and my Mom when all of a sudden, my son accidentally kicked the ball in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, the ball went in the wrong goal! He came off the field heartbroken and fell into my arms and cried. As I held him I gently said, "Everyone makes mistakes. The difference between everyone and a champion is that champions don't give up. A few minutes later he went back into the game and scored two goals for his team!!!

Later they formed a small group with three other couples where shared values would help bring healing to their lives and marriages. This group saw such change in their relationships and families that it overflowed to others, both leaders and churches. In 1996 Jack received a revelation of Father God’s love that first impacted and transformed his family. As he began to share this testimony, and the lessons the family learned, Shiloh Place grew into a ministry of influence. Since that time individuals, families, churches and leaders all over the world have continued experiencing Father God’s transforming love.
In 1979, Ron Phillips was called as pastor of Central Baptist Church located in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, where he serves today.
